About Us
Established in 2002, Kid Dynamite Fireworks, Inc. has become a premier destination for spectacular fireworks displays in West Tennessee. What started as a single 30' x 30' tent on a gravel parking lot with a limited selection has grown into a multi-location operation dedicated to quality, safety, and value.
Founder Derrick Knowles opened the first Kid Dynamite Fireworks tent in 2002. By 2003, the business expanded into a 40' x 40' tent, and by 2005 into a 40' x 60' tent. That same year, the company was incorporated and the selection of products continued to grow. After 2005, Kid Dynamite Fireworks began expanding into additional locations across West Tennessee.
In 2022, we opened our first indoor, air-conditioned showroom on South Broad Street in Lexington, offering customers a comfortable shopping experience with an even wider range of products. In 2025, we added a new warehouse to support our growth, and by 2026 we plan to operate 12 locations throughout West Tennessee.
With the additional storage space and multiple locations, we’re able to leverage greater purchasing power—giving our customers better pricing, larger selections, and more specialty items. Our inventory includes everything from dazzling sparklers to powerful aerials and pre-made show packages with multiple firing options, including Ignite firing systems that allow you to shoot your fireworks show from your smartphone.
Safety is at the core of what we do. In 2022, we introduced our annual “Safety Day” to promote fireworks safety so families can enjoy fireworks responsibly. Each year, we provide education, demonstrations, and tips to help everyone celebrate safely.
